Cognitive Pilot, an autonomous driving technology joint venture of Sberbank and Cognitive Technologies group, has joined NVIDIA Inception, with the support of which it will promote and expand its AI-based solutions on international markets. NVIDIA Inception is a program designed to nurture companies revolutionizing industries with advancements in AI and data sciences.

“Within NVIDIA Inception, we will get unique technical expertise from NVIDIA and its partners, as well as an opportunity to train our specialists in the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute,” said Olga Uskova, CEO of Cognitive Pilot. “NVIDIA partner companies include such IT giants as Oracle, Amazon and Microsoft. NVIDIA is also willing to provide us with special pricing for its products. NVIDIA Inception program will offer us an opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading experts and other AI-driven organizations.”

Cognitive Pilot will be able to work with NVIDIA’s partner network in the U.S. and South America to promote its products on those markets.

“We have already registered a U.S. subsidiary – Cognitive Pilot Corporation – that is based in Houston, Texas. This representative office will be responsible for recruiting new dealers and partners to promote and sell the Cognitive Agro Pilot system, handling product delivery and certification/patent issues, and building a partner network in the United States. Dealers will also be in charge of direct servicing of our clients,” said Uskova.

Already this year, about 25% of Cognitive Pilot’s sales will be export sales. For now, this is mainly to Argentina and Brazil, where Cognitive Pilot has partnerships and relationships with a number of local suppliers of high-tech solutions for agriculture.

Taking into account the geometry of the field edge, the swath, or the crop rows, the system does not deviate from the course by more than 20 cm, increasing combine productivity by up to 25%.

The solution works autonomously without connection to the GPS or satellites and doesn't require high precision positioning (RTK corrections). Once it's on, you're good to go. Agro Pilot detects obstacles, other machinery, and people in advance and stops before them, which eliminates the risk of breakdown due to collision.  The system software can be configured and updated through the user application. Field maps do not require updating or charting. No complex settings: Agro Pilot automatically detects unharvested areas and plots a route accordingly. The Agro Pilot system takes only a day or two to install and launch on any grain harvester – no wasting time on configuration and maintenance.
